Welcome

Just before the turn of the century, I picked up a professional camera for the first time. It was 9pm and I was in downtown San Diego. The camera wasn’t mine; it was 35mm, wasn’t even my film. After fiddling with the settings for a few minutes, I asked “how long do you leave the shutter open to capture the lights of cars going by?”

I took my friend's advice, pointed the lens upward at a skyscraper being illuminated by its brilliant white lights, surrounded by amber street lights, and snapped the photo. That photo now hangs on my wall. I’ve never looked back.
